Lancelot, Galahad, Montana? Not everyone could be a part of the Round Table, but New York has a new Knight conquering foes this week, and his name is Montana Knight. Facing six foes last Wednesday, Montana Knight sat midpack in perfect striking position early. When Ramon Dominguez swung his trusty steed out on the turn, Montana Knight launched a ferocious attack on the leader in the stretch and rolled to the front at the eighth-pole before pulling away late to win by a length.

Trainer Mike Hushion said, "I thought the horse was ready to run big. I liked the way he ran last time, and I thought he fit really well. Ramon (Dominguez) did a real nice job. He let him settle then slipped out. The horse was a little erratic switching leads, but he came home fast and got the job done. It worked out perfectly."
Jockey Ramon Dominguez said, "I knew if he ran his last race he would win. I didn't want the leaders to get away, so I just kept in touch early. When I got him out and asked him he came home strong."
Look for Montana Knight to run back in August at Saratoga.
